Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Field of Trade / EU4Business: SME Competitiveness and Internationalisation program

Purpose: Improvement of institutional and regulatory conditions at the local and national levels to increase the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises wishing to operate in EU markets.

Products implemented for the NBU and key events:

  • training on improving the level of English for six months was supported for 40 employees of the NBU involved in the negotiation process on Ukraine's accession to the EU;
  • five workshops were held on the following topics: "EU Regulatory and Institutional Landscape - Experience of the Croatian Central Bank" and "EBA Membership and Review of its Mandate, Review of the EU Banking Union: Review of Regulatory Authorities and the Basel Agreement – Pillar I", "Liquidity and Leverage", "Introduction to the II and III pillars of the Basel Agreement and relevant EU standards", "ESG standards and ICT risks".
