Purpose: Support for economic growth in Ukraine by expanding access to financing through credit unions for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, in particular farms, MSMEs and cooperatives, as well as individuals in rural areas seeking to start or expand an existing business.
Areas:
- support for MSME growth by increasing lending
- creating a favourable environment for credit unions to operate
- improving the operational capacity of Ukrainian credit unions to better service MSMEs.
Products implemented for the NBU and key events:
- a survey of credit unions on basic IT costs in credit unions was conducted, and a presentation was received on the basic functionality of the Integrated Information Systems of credit unions
- proposals were received for amendments to the Regulation on the procedure for regulating the activities of credit unions in Ukraine, approved by Resolution No. 14 of the Board of the NBU of Ukraine dated 02.02.2024.
