The NBU has been informed that the nonresident international money transfer systems such as Western Union, MoneyGram, Ria Money Transfer, INTELEXPRESS, and TransferGo have introduced free services for Ukrainians and fee wavers on the money transfer to Ukraine.
“Ukraine feels strong support from the international financial community. From now on, the international money transfer systems have committed to the efforts. We are grateful toeveryone for their support and solidarity with Ukrainians who are selflessly defending their country,” said Andrii Poddieriohin, Director of the NBU’s Payment Systems and Innovations Department.
In addition, RIA will support Save the Children in their efforts to help millions of Ukrainian children and their families who have suffered from the war in Ukraine. To do that, RIA will activate its global network for collecting clients’ donations to help Ukrainian children.
Furthermore, via the international money transfer system INTELEXPRESS people can make instant and free money transfers to a special fundraising account to support the Ukrainian army and provide humanitarian assistance for the Ukrainian victims of war.
The global payment network Euronet that has a wide ATM network around the world has announced fee wavers on its services for Ukrainian citizens. From now on, Ukrainian cardholders can withdraw cash at Euronet network ATMs in Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania without fees.
Simultaneously, the Polish instant payment system Blik has launched a special web page for its users to provide support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (in Poland only). Funds will be transferred to the NBU’s account opened with the state development bank Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego in Poland.
