The 2015 Annual Report approved by the Decision of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine of 2 June 2016 takes stock of the performance of the NBU in 2015 along the lines of activities and provides insight into the external and internal factors influencing the decision-making process and the outcomes. The 2015 Annual Report provides comprehensive coverage of all aspects of the regulator’s activities, including the decisions taken, forecasts, key functions, as well as reform and transformation processes. The Annual Report also contains the NBU’s Consolidated Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2015 and an audit opinion accompanying these statements.
“Throughout 2015, we took a stepwise approach to disclosing information and sought to make our decisions transparent and comprehensible and ensure that the NBU is truly accountable to the public. Therefore, the revamped Annual Report is based on the principles of openness and transparency – our fundamental values. From now on, the NBU’s Annual Report is an up-to-date information product, which is in line with best central banking practices in annual reporting. Since 2014, the Annual Report has been disseminated online and is available in electronic format only. Going Green, or using environmentally friendlier alternatives in producing annual reports, is a global trend among central banks that enables saving money and natural resources,” said NBU Deputy Governor Mr Vladyslav Rashkovan.

For reference
Compilation and dissemination of the Annual Report is a common practice among the world's central banks. The NBU’s Consolidated Financial Statements are an integral part of the Annual Report. The financial statements are audited by an international accounting firm, Deloitte (part of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited).
The NBU’s Annual Report has been published since 1993. The Annual Reports covering 2001-2015 are posted on the NBU’s website. The NBU has already converted existing printed versions of the annual reports (covering 1993 – 2000) into electronic format. Copies of these Annual Reports in electronic format will shortly be available on the NBU’s website.
