On September 18, 2015, the National Bank of Ukraine adopted a decision on withdrawal of the banking license and liquidation of JSB STOLYCHNYI PJSC.
In March 2015, with the aim of protecting the interests of depositors and other creditors, the National Bank of Ukraine took a decision to classify JSB STOLYCHNYI PJSC as a problem bank and set a timeframe for this bank to bring its activities in line with the applicable laws.
After JSB STOLYCHNYI PJSC was declared a problem bank, its financial standing deteriorated further, which resulted in the bank’s inability to meet its obligations to depositors and creditors.
In view of JSB STOLYCHNYI PJSC’s failure to take appropriate measures to remedy breaches of the NBU regulations, the bank’s inability to meet creditors’ claims for the repayment of deposits and execution of settlements, given the bank’s poor financial standing and breaches of the banking legislation, on September 18, 2015, having considered the proposal issued by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine issued Resolution No. 614 on withdrawal of the banking license and liquidation of JSB STOLYCHNYI PJSC.
