Pursuant to Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine On the National Bank of Ukraine, Article 77 of the Law of Ukraine On Banks and Banking, Article 44 of the Law of Ukraine On Households Deposit Guarantee System, at the request of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, the NBU has made Decision No. 362 dated 21 July 2022 to revoke the banking license and liquidate MEGABANK JSC.
For context, on 2 June 2022, the NBU Board approved a decision to declare MEGABANK JSC insolvent due to the bank’s failure to bring its activities in compliance with the applicable laws, including NBU regulations.
