The National Bank of Ukraine is starting an open voting for designs of coins to honor the heroic resistanceof the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people against russian aggression. Voters can choose from 80 sketches by 35 designers who had expressed their desire to participate in the competition announced by the regulator last month.
The voting will run from 5 to 20 April 2022.
Anyone willing to participate can vote for the coin designs in two nominations: Best Design and Best Creative Work. In every nomination, voters can decide on three designs that impressed them most.

The NBU will use the coin designs and creative works that will receive the highest number of votes to produce commemorative coins and other numismatic items.
"Our victory is inevitable! We are bringing this day closer and preparing for it. We are therefore announcing a public vote to find out what Ukrainians think about the designs that should be featured on Ukrainian coins to celebrate our joint victory. We are inviting everyone to participate in the voting to choose the winner together," said NBU Deputy Governor Oleksii Shaban.
He also thanked all artists that joined the competition and sent their sketches. "Every design is remarkable and worthy of attention. We are grateful to every person who was able to find a way and inspiration for creating works to honor the heroic fightof the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people against russian aggression," said Oleksii Shaban.
