For the Ukrainian banking system, this coming Saturday, 12 March 2022, will be a business day.
This means that interbank transfers made through the NBU’s System of Electronic Payments (SEP) will be dated as follows:
Those occurring on 12 March 2022 will be dated 12 March 2022.
Those occurring on 13 and 14 March 2022 will be dated 14 March 2022.
Relevant rules were approved by NBU Board Resolution No. 46 On the Operating Procedure of the System of Electronic Payments of the National Bank of Ukraine on 12–14 March 2022, dated 10 March 2022.
As previously reported, SEP is working smoothly and in business-as-usual mode, in line with a pre-established technological procedure (23 hours a day). This implies that SEP participants can make interbank payments almost 24/7 in order to meet their needs and the needs of their clients in accordance with Ukrainian law.
