On 15 March 2017, the National Bank of Ukraine published data from financial statements of Ukrainian Banks for Q1 2017 that contain revised data that were adjusted by using adjusting entries in the interim period under review.
We would like to underline that the compilation of financial statements falls within the competence of banks and non-bank institutions. Accordingly, decisions on making data adjustments by using adjusting entries are made by these institutions.
The National Bank of Ukraine does not compile statistical data but consolidates data submitted by banks and publishes them on the NBU’s official website as mandated by the Laws of Ukraine On State Statistics, On Banks and Banking, the Rules on NBU statistical reporting submitted to the NBU, and NBU regulations.
