IMF First Deputy Managing Director Gita Gopinath was the keynote speaker of day two of the 8th Annual Research Conference hosted by the central banks of Ukraine and Poland.

The speech that she delivered in Kyiv – Navigating Fragmentation, Conflict, and Large Shocks – analyzes how russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has impacted both Ukraine and the world economy. Ms Gopinath also talked about effective monetary policy in an environment prone to shocks.
