For the duration of martial law in Ukraine, holidays provided by the Labor Code of Ukraine have been cancelled. Respective provisions are prescribed in the Law of Ukraine On Labor Relations under Martial Law.
Under said law as well as martial law, this coming 14 October, which in peacetime would have been celebrated as Defenders of Ukraine Day, will be a routine business day for the banking system as well.
On 14 October 2022, the System of Electronic Payments (SEP), the custodial accounting system of the NBU Depository, the Depository Institution of the NBU, and the CERTIF quantitative accounting system of certificates of deposit will operate as usual.
Please be reminded that during the full-scale war, SEP continues to conduct business as usual (23/7), free of disruptions, as it did in peacetime. All Ukrainian banks are connected to SEP and are making payments to customers almost 24/7 without days off.
