Call for papers

The conference, hosted by the National Bank of Ukraine on 28-29 May 2020, aims at bringing together economists from central banks, academia, international financial institutions, and other organizations to discuss theoretical, empirical and practical perspectives on the interplay of labor markets and monetary policy.

We invite working paper submissions on the broad theme of the conference. Examples of possible topics are: 1) Phillips curve; 2) monetary policy in high-pressure or depressed labor markets; 3) natural rate of employment and trends in labor force participation; 4) inequality and redistributive effects of monetary policy; 5) dual mandate of monetary policy. The keynote speaker is Robert E. Hall (Stanford University). The list of confirmed speakers includes Jordi Gali (CREI), Silvana Tenreyro (Bank of England), and Fatih Guevenen (University of Minnesota).

All of the papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking (JMCB), subject to editorial review and referee reports.
