30 October 2022 is the last day when Ukrainians in Germany can exchange cash hryvnias for euros.
The cash hryvnia to euro exchange program in Germany was launched on the basis of an agreement between the NBU, Deutsche Bundesbank, and the Federal Ministry of Finance.
The program provided the cash hryvnia to euro exchange capability in German credit institutions, to meet daily needs, to Ukrainians who had left Ukraine for Germany as they fled the war and stayed there.
The respective program shall be terminated due to significant decrease in numbers and amounts of such exchange transactions in contrast with the beginning of the program.
In general, as of 28 October 2022, during five months of the agreement period, Ukrainians in Germany exchanged almost UAH 154 million.
