This set celebrates the brave defenders of Ukraine – the soldiers of the Armed Forces, border guards, National Guard personnel, police officers, rescuers, and other members of the security and defense forces, who stand daily on guard for the independence, sovereignty, and security of Ukraine. Each coin in the set symbolizes gratitude for the heroism, self-sacrifice, and indomitable spirit of those who are defending Ukraine amidst the current challenges. With this set, the National Bank of Ukraine aims to honor the feats of Ukraine’s defenders and the strength and might of the Ukrainian defense units. The set comprises 27 10-hryvnia circulation commemorative coins, which were issued into circulation in 2018–2025. These coins are as follows: Defenders of Donetsk Airport, Ukrainian Volunteer Day, 100 Years since the Creation of the Ukrainian Navy, Standing Guard over Life (dedicated to military medics), the Soldier KrAZ-6322, Ukrainian Peacekeeping Soldiers, The Air Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Fallen Defenders’ Day, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Airborne Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukraine’s Armed Forces, The Ground Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, The Navy of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Special Operations Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Support Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Air Defenses – Ukraine’s Reliable Shield, the Antonov Bridge, the Joint Forces Command of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the State Special Transport Service, the Medical Branch of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Communications and Cybersecurity Branch of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Logistics Branch of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the National Police of Ukraine, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Each coin is made of nickel-plated zinc-based alloy in uncirculated quality. The issues numbers of the set are up to 14,000 units.

This roll celebrates an integral part of Ukraine that holds a special status defined by the Constitution of Ukraine – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The fact of Crimea’s territory belonging to Ukraine is confirmed by international law and recognized by the global community. This coin marks the beginning of a new series of circulation commemorative coins dedicated to Ukraine’s administrative divisions, which, in the face of armed aggression, confirm the importance of national unity and cohesion in the struggle for freedom and independence. Each roll is packaged in souvenir paper featuring the following legends: БАНКНОТНО-МОНЕТНИЙ ДВІР НБУ, ОБІГОВА ПАМ’ЯТНА МОНЕТА, МИ СИЛЬНІ. МИ РАЗОМ. Obverse: above is Ukraine’s small state coat-of-arms; in the center, surrounded by an old Rus ornament is the following semicircular legend: УКРАЇНА / 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ (Ukraine / 10 / hryvnias); against the backdrop of the ornament are the coins’ issue year – 2025 (beneath) and the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works (to the right).

Reverse: against a smooth background, is a stylized map of Ukraine with clearly defined administrative borders. On the map, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is depicted on a matte background that contrasts with the rest of the image, emphasizing that Crimea belongs to the unified state space.
