Following a competitive selection process conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine to fill the vacant position of Director of the NBU Personnel Department, Ms Olga Prokhorenko was appointed to this position on 23 September 2016, reads an order issued to this effect by the NBU.
This position was earlier held by Mr Roman Borysenko, who was appointed as Acting Deputy Governor of the NBU on 25 August 2016, with a mandate to supervise financial and administrative operations.
“The NBU is currently in the midst of undergoing an internal transformation, a crucial process requiring the central bank to boost its operational efficiency through the re-engineering of processes and to introduce cutting-edge governance models and IT solutions to support its activities. The Director of the Personnel Department plays a strategic role in the transformation process. I feel confident that Ms Prokhorenko, credited as being a promoter of corporate values, will ensure that the staff is highly motivated to work efficiently and help her colleagues to further improve their professional skills,” said Mr Borysenko.
From December 2014 until her appointment as Director of the NBU Personnel Department, Ms Prokhorenko served as Head of the NBU Personnel Training and Development Office. From 25 August 2016, Ms Prokhorenko assumed responsibility as Acting Director of the NBU Personnel Department.
In 1999, she graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk National University. In addition, Ms Prokhorenko is a Certified Business Coach.
Almost her entire professional career (over 10 years) has been closely linked to HR management, staff selection, evaluation, training, and professional development. From 2007 to 2009, Ms Prokhorenko was employed by Demis Group LLC, where she worked her way through from HR manager to Director of the HR Department. From 2010 to 2014, she worked as Head of the Evaluation and Development Division, HR Directorate at DTEK Skhidenergo LLC, and later as Head of the Training Division at DTEK ENERGO LLC.
