The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) informs that 9 employees of the NBU’s Licensing Department have submitted resignation letters.
Please be informed that the Licensing Department will continue operation in a regular mode and perform its tasks and functions pertaining to registration and licensing of banks, financial institutions, and other legal entities, as well as licensing, approval, and registration activities in the payments market.
Currently, the staff of the Licensing Department is 107 FTEs. The employees ensure the proper performance of the Department tasks.
A new director of the Licensing Department and heads of its structural units will be appointed to the positions pursuant to the procedure set forth in Article 15 paragraph 31 of the Law of Ukraine On the National Bank of Ukraine, and the NBU’s internal procedures.
The established transparent processes minimize the risk of external influence on the operating activities of the Licensing Department and supervisory committees.
The unquestionable priority for the NBU is maintaining the collegial approach to taking decisions, which guarantees that differences in expert positions become the grounds for professional discussions and new opportunities instead of public accusations.
