#LIUTYIDONAT: NBU Launches Fundraiser

The NBU, jointly with the fundraising platform United24 and PrivatBank, has announced the start of the #liutyidonat fundraiser.

The goal is to collect enough money to buy ten CHAKLUN UAV systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

CHAKLUN is a Ukrainian-made scout drone that is easy to use, suitable for manual launch, and repairable in field conditions. Every CHAKLUN system comes with 5 drones that can stay airborne for 60 minutes and cover a distance of up to 100 kilometers. The price tag is UAH 1,032,000 per system.

"It has been a year since russia launched the full-scale war to destroy Ukraine. But Ukraine's Armed Forces have been giving the enemy a dignified response on the frontlines that has derailed russia's nefarious plans. And the people of Ukraine have been unanimous in supporting the Ukrainian military. Our thoughts are with our defenders every day. We are constantly searching for new ways to help our heroes. And today I am happy to present to you the NBU's #liutyidonat fundraiser. I encourage everyone to join this initiative by making a donation. All funds will go to purchase CHAKLUN reconnaissance drones, which will become the eyes of our Armed Forces. To promote our charitable initiative, we have prepared interesting, valuable, and extraordinary gifts," said NBU Governor Andriy Pyshnyy.

The NBU has 24 incredible and exclusive prizes to give to the fundraiser's donors. Each person who donates at least UAH 300 will participate in a raffle to win one of the gifts:

  • four sets of Ukrainian State Symbols commemorative coins: Our Coat of Arms, Our Flag, and Our Anthem, with the signatures of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk.
  • 13 commemorative coins Archangel Michael, made of silver. Archangel Michael is often depicted as a warrior defeating an evil dragon. Each Archangel Michael coin bears the signature of one of the commanders of Ukraine's Armed Forces: Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (5 coins), Oleksandr Syrskii, Commander of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (4 coins), and Mykola Oleschuk, Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (4 coins).
  • seven 100-hryvnia banknotes with the signature of NBU Governor Andriy Pyshnyy. Under Ukrainian laws, all banknotes must bear the signature of a current NBU Governor. As a rule, the first 1,000 such banknotes have high collector value. The seven gift banknotes in our raffle actually come from the first ten 100-hryvnia bills to have been issued with Governor Pyshnyy's autograph. Their serial numbers are АК0000006, АК0000007, АК0000008, АК0000009, АК0000010, АК0000011, and АК0000012. His signature adds value to each banknote.

A single person can make any number of donations. A donation of UAH 300 buys the donor one raffle ticket, UAH 600 buys two tickets, UAH 900 buys three, and so on. The bigger the donation, the greater the chance to win a prize.

All donations are immediately credited to the NBU's special account for the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. After the collection of funds is completed, representatives of the United24 fundraising platform, which was created at the request of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will use these funds to purchase CHAKLUN reconnaissance drones and hand them over to Ukrainian defenders.
