The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has designed an operating schedule for the system of electronic payments of the NBU and the Ukrainian banking system to account for the shift in business days in 2019*.
The operating days of the NBU’s System of Electronic Payments have been rescheduled as follows:
- from Tuesday, 30 April, to Saturday, 11 May
- from Monday, 30 December, to Saturday, 21 December
- from Tuesday, 31 December, to Saturday, 28 December.
If necessary, banks can execute cash transactions for customers on 30 April and 30 and 31 December without starting an operating day.
In addition, banks are responsible for:
- keeping customers informed of the banks’ individual operating modes during the abovementioned days
- ensuring a timely payout of pensions, social benefits, and other payments, a continuous operation of ATMs and exchange offices, and the replenishment of ATMs with banknotes of different denominations.
