After the recruiting procedures and interviews of candidates with the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine, Yuliia Yevtushenko was appointed Director of the Communications Department of the NBU. She takes office on 25 November 2022.
Her role and responsibilities will cover the following:
- running, coordinating, and developing strategic and daily communications of the NBU
- managing and developing the NBU’s system of information channels
- determining the policy regarding informational, public, and image products and materials of the NBU
- coordinating and implementing educational activities aimed at raising financial culture and awareness among Ukraine’s public.
The Communications Department is a part of the General block curated by Andriy Pyshnyy, the NBU Governor.
“Under targeted and cynical terror of rf, communications of the NBU is a crucial strategic direction. The regulator supports transparent and open dialogue with the public, and timely reports on the status on the financial front. The NBU expects the newly appointed Director of Communications Department to develop, strengthen and give a new boost to the regulator’s communications.
Yuliia Yevtushenko has worked for 18 years in communications, including the banking system of Ukraine. Ms Yevtushenko is experienced in managing corporate communications of big Ukrainian banks and companies.
Before being hired by the NBU, for almost three years Ms Yevtushenko was director of corporate communications and a member of the board of directors at UMG Investments.
In 2015 – 2019, she was in charge of Public Relations Office at Oschadbank JSC.
From 2007 to 2015, Ms Yevtushenko worked for ALFA BANK JSC, in 2011 – 2015, she was director of corporate relations and PR at the bank.
In 2006 – 2007, Ms Yevtushenko was a specialist of public relations at A/T Tobacco Company B.A.T.-Pryluky PrJSC (British American Tobacco Ukraine).
She began working in communications in 2004 as head of the marketing and advertisement unit at Natsionalni Investytsii Bank PJSC.
In 2001, Yuliia Yevtushenko graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and was awarded a Master’s degree in International Relations (Qualification: Master of International Relations, English Translator). In 2004, she graduated from KROK University and was awarded a Specialist’s Diploma in Banking (Qualification: Economist and Financial Analyst).
