Oleh Daleko Steps Down as Head of NBU Problem Assets Management Office

On 6 December 2022, Oleh Daleko resigned as Head of the Problem Assets Management Office, of his own accord.  

Main functions of the Problem Assets Management Office: 

  • organization of work to resolve the NBU’s problem assets
  • repayment/collection of debt under loans granted to support the liquidity of the Ukrainian banks that the NBU has classified as insolvent, as well as debt under loans in relation to which the NBU has acquired the right of claim for the repayment of debt under loans to support liquidity
  • organization and support of biddings to sell NBU property items (own property, collateral transferred into NBU ownership, and acquired property)
  • support of certain issues regarding the banks that have been undergoing liquidation procedures started by the NBU before 22 September 2012, and their liquidators, as well as work with legal entities to which the management of the unsold assets of banks was transferred.

The Problem Assets Management Office is a part of the Finance, Administration, and Operations line of command curated by NBU Deputy Governor Yaroslav Matuzka.

The NBU is currently conducting a candidate screening and selection to fill the vacancy of the Head of the Problem Assets Management Office.

As previously reported, Oleh Daleko took office in July 2021.
