Almost UAH 300 Million Transferred to NBU’s Special Account for Ukraine’s Armed Forces over Past 24 Hours

In the past 24 hours, an equivalent of nearly UAH 300 million has been wired into the special account that the NBU opened to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Both people and businesses in Ukraine, as well as the international community (specifically the EU countries, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and more), have remitted funds into this account.

"We are grateful to everyone who has been able to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces. We appreciate your help, as it is vital at this time. We stand together in our faith in the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said NBU Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko.

The NBU calls on Ukrainian banks not to charge fees for the crediting of funds to the special account, as this money goes towards Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

As previously reported, the NBU has opened a special multi-currency account to raise funds for the Ukrainian military after the authorities imposed martial law in Ukraine in response to Russia’s armed aggression and the threat to Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.

Account details for hryvnia and foreign currency remittances are available here.
