Over UAH 3.3 Billion Transferred for Needs of Defense from Special Account Opened by NBU

As of 1 February 2026, the balance in the special fundraising account the NBU opened to support the defense forces on 24 February 2022 made over UAH 26.2 billion. Last month, over UAH 4.2 billion was received in the special account.

Nearly UAH 151 billion, in equivalent, was received in the special account since the full-scale invasion.

Money has been coming in from individuals and businesses of Ukraine and from all over the international community (including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, and many other countries).

That includes an equivalent of almost UAH 129 billion that was remitted from abroad in foreign currencies (U.S. dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Canadian dollars, Chinese renminbi, Japanese yens, Swiss francs, Polish zlotys, and Australian dollars).

Overall, since the start of the full-scale war, the NBU has allocated almost UAH 126 billion, including over UAH 3.3 million in January 2026, to meet the needs of the defense. Specifically:

• over UAH 1,649 million for the National Guard of Ukraine
• UAH 1,650 million for the National Police of Ukraine
• over UAH 38,671 million for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (UAH 2004 million on 12 January 2026)
• UAH 999.5 million for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
• over UAH 8,179 million for the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine
• over UAH 156.2 million for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
• almost UAH 40.1 million for the NSDC of Ukraine
• over UAH 233 million for the State Special Transport Service
• over UAH 784.1 million for the Security Service of Ukraine
• over UAH 286.9 million for the needs of military units
• over UAH 1,491 million for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine
• over UAH 70,666 million for the  Defence Procurement Agency (UAH 1,276 million on 14 January 2025)
• over UAH 1,149 million for defense activities of the regional military administrations (UAH 12.4 million on 5 January 2026, and UAH 3.2 million on 12 January 2026, UAH 52.5 million on 27 January 2026).
