Almost UAH 20.3 Billion Transferred for Needs of Defense from Special NBU Account in February 2026

As of 1 March 2026, the balance in the special fundraising account the NBU opened to support the defense forces on 24 February 2022 made over UAH 9.9 billion. Last month, over UAH 4 billion was received in the special account.

The equivalent of over UAH 155 billion was received in the special account since russia launched the full-scale war.

Money has been coming in from individuals and businesses of Ukraine and from all over the international community (including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Lithuania, and many other countries).

That includes an equivalent of over UAH 133 billion that was remitted from abroad in foreign currencies (U.S. dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Canadian dollars, Chinese renminbi, Japanese yens, Swiss francs, Polish zlotys, and Australian dollars).

Overall, since the start of the full-scale war, the NBU has allocated over UAH 146 billion, including about UAH 20.3 billion in February 2026, to meet the needs of the defense forces. Specifically:

• over UAH 1,669 million for the National Guard of Ukraine (UAH 20 million transferred on 2 February 2026)
• UAH 1,650 million for the National Police of Ukraine
• over UAH 38,676 million for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (UAH 5.2 million transferred on 4 February 2026)
• UAH 999.5 million for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
• over UAH 8,203 million for the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine (UAH 23.1 million transferred on 4 February 2026)
• over UAH 156.2 million for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
• almost UAH 40.1 million for the NSDC of Ukraine
• over UAH 233 million for the State Special Transport Service
• over UAH 784.1 million for the Security Service of Ukraine
• over UAH 286.9 million for the needs of military units
• over UAH 1,491 million for the Main Directorate of Intelligence  of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine
• over UAH 90,632 million for the  Defence Procurement Agency (UAH 19,966 million on 23 February 2026)
• over UAH 1,392 million for defense activities of the regional military administrations (UAH 95 million on 9 February 2026, 37.3 million on 12 February 2026, UAH 38.8 million on 18 February 2026, and UAH 71.5 million on 23 February 2026).
