Almost UAH 34.5 Billion Transferred for Needs of Defense from Special Account Opened by NBU Since Full-Scale War Started, and over UAH 182 Million Received therein in March

As of 1 April 2024, the balance in the special fundraising account the NBU opened to support the defense forces on 24 February 2022 makes almost UAH 1.5 billion. Last month, over UAH 182 million was received in the special account.

Nearly UAH 35.8 billion, in equivalent, was received in the special account since russia launched the full-scale war.

Money has been coming in from individuals and businesses of Ukraine and from all over the international community (including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, and many other countries).

That includes the equivalent of almost UAH 15.9 billion that has been remitted from abroad in foreign currencies (U.S. Dollars, euros, GB pounds, Canadian dollars, Chinese renminbi, Japanese yen, Swiss francs, Polish zlotys, Australian dollars).

Overall, since the start of the full-scale war, the NBU has allocated more than UAH 34.5 billion (over UAH 358.1 million in March 2024) to meet the needs of the defense, in particular:

• over UAH 1,443 million for the National Guard of Ukraine
• UAH 1,650 million for the National Police of Ukraine
• over UAH 22,854 million for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (UAH 115 million on 21 March 2024)

• over UAH 1,000 million for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
• over UAH 6,305 million for the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine  (UAH 51.1 million on 14 March 2024)
• over UAH 156.2 million for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
• UAH 40.5 million for the NSDC of Ukraine
• over UAH 213 million for the State Special Transport Service
• over UAH 433.2 million for the Security Service of Ukraine (UAH 115 million on 27 March 2024)
• over UAH 356.2 million for the needs of military units (UAH 10 million on 4 April 2024; UAH 15.8 million on 7 April 2024; UAH 10 million on 11 April 2024; UAH 19.9 million - on 18 April 2024; UAH 1.18 million on 21 April 2024; UAH 9.9 million on 22 April 2024; UAH 9.9 million on 25 April 2024).
