Almost UAH 34 Billion Transferred for Needs of Defense from Special Account Opened by NBU Since Full-Scale War Started, and over UAH 675 Million Received therein in February

As of 1 March 2024, the balance in the special fundraising account the NBU opened to support the defense forces on 24 February 2022 makes over UAH 1.6 billion. Last month, over UAH 675 million was received in the special account.

 Over UAH 35.5 billion was received in the special account since russia launched the full-scale war.

Money has been coming in from individuals and businesses of Ukraine and from all over the international community (including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, and many other countries).

That includes the equivalent of over UAH 15.8 billion that has been remitted from abroad in foreign currencies (U.S. Dollars, euros, GB pounds, Canadian dollars, Chinese renminbi, Japanese yen, Swiss francs, Polish zlotys, Australian dollars).

Overall, since the start of the full-scale war, the NBU has allocated more than UAH 34 billion (over UAH 846 million in February 2024) to meet the needs of the defense, in particular:

• over UAH 1,443 million for the National Guard of Ukraine (UAH 34.7 million on 1 February 2024)
• UAH 1,650 million for the National Police of Ukraine
• over UAH 22,739 million for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
• over UAH 1,000 million for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
• over UAH 6,254 million for the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine  (UAH 220.7 million on 1 February 2024; almost UAH 1.5 million on 6 February 2024; UAH 186.3 million on 15 February 2024, UAH 50 million on 20 February 2024, and UAH 288.6 million on 22 February 2024)
• over UAH 156.2 million for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
• UAH 40.5 million for the NSDC of Ukraine
• over UAH 213 million for the State Special Transport Service
• over UAH 318.2 million for the Security Service of Ukraine
• almost UAH 279.3 million for the needs of military units (UAH 35.0 million on 28 February 2024; and almost UAH 29.3 million on 29 February 2024)
